DONATIONS BENEFIT:
Mission
The Outer Banks Relief Foundation eases financial burdens when tragedy strikes.
History
In 2004, a group of people on the Outer Banks raised money for leukemia research in honor of a local child battling the disease. This family became financially distressed during their crisis and they lost their home. The Relief Foundation was founded to prevent other local families from facing similar situations.
Since that time, the Outer Banks Relief Foundation has provided $3.5 million of relief funding to 1,400 Outer Banks families in need. Financial assistance is given in the form of mortgage or rent payments, utility bill payments and payment of other critical household bills in amounts generally ranging from $500 to $5,000.
Some examples of what our clients are facing include cancer, serious blood or nerve disorders, spinal injuries, and multiple sclerosis. We work closely with the other charitable and helping organizations here on the Outer Bank and with regional, state and national organizations to coordinate and maximize support.

Mission
The mission of the Community Care Clinic of Dare is to provide quality healthcare, medication assistance, and wellness education to eligible persons living or working in Dare County.
History
The Community Care Clinic of Dare (CCCD) was founded in 2005 by a partnership of the Albemarle Hospital Foundation, the Dare County Department of Public Health, and the Outer Banks Hospital.
The establishment of the Community Care Clinic of Dare represented a grassroots response to the needs of the uninsured and underinsured in our community.
The Clinic first opened its doors in Kitty Hawk in May 2005, and our Buxton (now Frisco) location in September of that year. We opened in Manteo in December 2006. In May 2011, the Kitty Hawk and Manteo clinics consolidated, and a new and larger CCCD location was opened in Nags Head at 2808 S. Croatan Hwy, Suite A. In July 2013, we re-located into our existing facility at 425 Health Center Dr., further improving our ability to serve our patients. Many individuals and organizations have devoted countless hours and numerous financial and material resources to the Clinic since its creation. The Clinic is always in need of additional medical and non-medical volunteers.
